Welcome to my travel blog! I am a woman in my mid-twenties who is preparing to take a trip through four countries in Southeast Asia: Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

This trip comes at an exciting moment in my life. I have recently quit my job of three years in anticipation of beginning an MA/PhD program in ancient Greek art history this coming fall. This transition has provided me one of those incredibly rare moments in life where I had the opportunity to take an extended vacation, and so I jumped at the chance!

I have chosen to make Southeast Asia my destination of choice because I have longed to see this part of the world for as long as I can remember, with the added bonus that it is relatively inexpensive to be a backpacker in this area. I plan to absorb some culture, see as many temples as I can, take in the region’s natural beauty, and sample exciting new foods.
